Frequently asked questions

What is Microsoft Universal Print?

Universal Print is Microsoft’s cloud-based printing service. Printers are registered in Microsoft 365, users sign in with their work account to print, and IT deploys printers through Intune — so there’s no on-premises print server to maintain.

Do we need PaperCut if we use Universal Print?

Not always. Universal Print handles cloud printing; PaperCut adds secure release at the device, cost tracking, quotas and detailed reporting. Many businesses use both.

Can our printer scan straight to SharePoint or OneDrive?

Yes. Most Ricoh devices can scan directly to Microsoft 365 locations, either natively or through PaperCut, so scanned documents land where your team already works.

Can you take over printing from our current provider?

Yes. We’ll review your existing devices, contracts and print volumes, then recommend whether to keep, reconfigure or replace them.
